All I know is I feel it in my very soul.

My heart is heavy and aching,

I'm sure that it must be breaking.

The day is long and night even longer,

I'm sure that someday I might be stronger.

All alone the mind does wonder,

In the distance I can hear the thunder.

The pain is sharp within me,

It makes me blind and unable to see.

I know that there is someone out there,

Who might even understand and care.

But I'm having trouble seeing past the pain,

And I feel as though I've nothing to gain.

If only I could see a shimmer of light,

It could help me regain my sight.
